AUDITION INFORMATION

Audition Dates*:  Saturday, April 13th and Tuesday April 16th .
Call-Backs, if needed:  Wednesday, April 17th
Location:  Phoenixville Area High School Auditorium, 1200 Gay St, Phoenixville, PA 19460
* You are only required to attend one audition date.  Call-backs are by invitation only but does not mean that you are not cast or part of the show if you do not receive a call-back. 

• ​Saturday audition will have two seperate sessions: 
  • Morning session will start promptly at 9:30 am until 11:30 am 
  • Afternoon session will run from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.  

• Tuesday audition will start promptly at 7:30 pm through 9:30 pm. 

Please arrive on time and prepared with your filled-out audition form, sheet music (if not memorized) and proper dance shoes for auditions.

Audition Requirements

• Please read carefully the Firebird Theatre Cast Contract prior to auditioning so that you are aware of the policies and commitment for this production.
• Please complete the  Audition Application and bring it with you to audition.
• Music:  Please prepare a song from the following selections that best shows off your vocal talents and range:  Time Stops (measures 3-22),  Be The Hero (measures 8-33), The Witch (measures 5-35), I Don't Need A Roof (measures 6-36).   Performers ages 10 to 13 are not required to sing the audition songs but will be required to sing Happy Birthday and scales. ​
• You will be required to do a dance audition.  Please bring dance shoes or closed-toe shoes and wear comfortable clothing.  If you would like to be considered for a tap or pointe role, please make sure that you bring those appropriate dance shoes.  If you have a dance specific resume, please bring that with you.

• Please remember to list all vacation dates  and rehearsal conflicts on your audition application.  Make special note that the last two weeks of tech rehearsals are mandatory;  if you already have known conflicts that will interfere with attending tech rehearsals on July 15, 16, 17, 18, you will not be eligible for a speaking role. You may be considered for an ensemble role, but the director and choreographer have the final decision of which scenes you may participate in based on your rehearsal attendance. No one may miss rehearsals on July 22, 23, 24, 25 or performances on July 26, 27.
