GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER WORKSHOP: Acting, Improv and more!

Monday evenings at the Level Road School House, Collegeville.

10 weeks:
September 26 through December 5.  (Closed on October 31st for Halloween!)

Session 1: Grades 1- 6: 6:00pm – 7:00pm

Session 2: Grades 7-12: 7:00pm – 8:00pm

$135 for Lower Providence Township residents; $145 for non-residents

Course description:
Session 1: Students will have fun learning to express themselves as they learn theater basics through acting, improvisation, theater games, movement & dance, scene building and public speaking. Parent Presentation on last day of workshop.

Session 2: Students will learn the many aspects of theater performance through acting, improvisation, character building, scene work, movement & dance, theater games, and an introduction to monologues. Public speaking will also be included! Parent Presentation on last day of workshop.

OUR 2016 HOLIDAY REVUE AND SHOWS

 The tradition continues at the Colonial Theatre for the 5th year to bring you Firebird's Holiday Revue and a visit from the Jolly Old Elf, St. Nick himself!  Tuition to this wonderful workshop includes 14 weeks of instructional workshop classes: singing, acting, dancing which culminates in the performance of our Holiday Revue, two parent tickets to the show per family, and a cast ​t-shirt, along with a show DVD (one per family).  Not to mention all of the fun, friendships, and memories your young performer(s) will make.

* Participants must be within the age limits by the start of the Workshop.

Out of the Woods: A Holiday Tail KIDS

This is Young Moose’s first winter and he doesn’t know what the fuss is about in the nearby village.  His friends explain that the Villagers are getting ready for the Winter Holidays. Moose finds out all about Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa with the help of his woodland friends. 
Performers ages 7 – 12* will have fun singing and performing five traditional songs, plus handful of original songs about the holidays from the animals' perspective. There is a latke-loving bear, beavers who steal Christmas trees and a squirrel who wants to pull Santa's sleigh---not to mention Superbadgers and some shady skunks to make this a festive and fun show!

Singin' in the Rain JR

Singin' in the Rain JR. has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline – the starlet, the leading man and a romance that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item, but behind the scenes, things aren't always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.

Performers ages 12 - 18* will love performing this JR production of Singin' in the Rain on the old Vaudeville Stage of the Colonial Theatre!
