NEWSIES AUDITION INFORMATION
Audition Dates: Monday April 21 and Tuesday April 22 at 7:00pm
Callbacks (if needed): Saturday April 26 at 3:00pm

You are only required to attend one audition date. Callbacks are by invitation only, but that does not mean that you are not cast or will not receive a part in the show if you do not receive a callback.
  • ​Monday auditions will start promptly at 7:00pm through 9:00pm. 
  • Tuesday auditions will start promptly at 7:00pm through 9:00pm.

Please arrive on time and prepared with your filled-out audition form, signed cast contract, sheet music and proper dance shoes for auditions.

Audition Requirements
  • Please Complete the audition form and cast contract and bring it with you to your audition (Blank copies will be available upon arrival)
  • Music:  Please prepare a 32 bar cut from a selection of your choice in the style of the show. ​
  • Dance: Everyone will be required to perform a dance audition. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes. If you have a dance specific resume, please bring that with you. There will be TWO dance combinations, one jazz combination and one tap combination. If you have tap shoes, please bring them! (Dance videos are posted below for you to practice at home before coming in to audition)

  • Please remember to list all vacation dates  and rehearsal conflicts on your audition application.  Make special note that the last two weeks of tech rehearsals are mandatory;  if you already have known conflicts that will interfere with attending tech rehearsals on July dates you will not be eligible for a speaking role. You may be considered for an ensemble role, but the director and choreographer have the final decision of which scenes you may participate in based on your rehearsal attendance. No one may miss rehearsals during tech on July 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, or performances on July 24, 25, 26, 27.
