The Children's Literature Association named Charlotte's Web "the best American children's book of the past two hundred years," and Joseph Robinette, working with the advice of E.B. White, has created a play that captures all of the enchanting characters: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.” Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious adventure which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship that is sure to be an evening of enchantment for audiences of all ages.

Firebird Theatre presents Alice in Wonderland. Performed by our youth cast. From the book "Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. Here's a charming, yet faithful adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic. Alice meets a hurried White Rabbit, swims in a sea of her tears, confronts a Caterpillar, and questions a grinning Cheshire cat, all in an effort to find out what kind of place she happened in to. But she has to attend a Mad Hatter's tea party, learn to dance from a Mock Turtle, play an unusual game of croquet, and finally challenge the outcome of the Knave's trial before she wakes up and realizes she has dreamed of the world of Wonderland!

What is the Nest Series at Firebird Theatre?
Expand your young actor's repertoire and perform in a play with us this season! Play rehearsals take place on Thursday nights at the Firebird Theatre Nest at Royersford Baptist Church.
The Nest Series is a new Firebird Theatre program being offered in the Spring-Ford community. Located just minutes away from our other venues in Phoenixville and Audubon at the Royersford Baptist Church, we are thrilled to be able to keep our Firebird students and audiences engaged and entertained during the school year with plays and junior musicals and to sharpen their skills and provide performance opportunities all year round.
Presented in a more intimate performance space with an audience seating capacity of 100-150 guests, this venue differs from our other locations in that shows will be performed in an intimate space. Our actors will learn how to perform in various theatrical settings such as “theatre in the round” or a "thrust" stage. Audiences will experience seeing their performers up close, and also enjoy ample free parking, a handicap accessible lobby and restrooms and many other amenities for our students and guests.
